The Leeds Arena

Armley Mills – Leeds Industrial Museum

Exhibits dating from the 18th and 19th centuries show the history of textiles, clothing and engine and locomotive manufacture in the area. The museum also illustrates the history of cinema projections, including the first moving pictures taken in Leeds.

Harewood House

Home to the Queen’s cousin, the Earl of Harewood, and provides a wonderful day out for all the family. The House, with its outstanding art collections, splendid State Rooms and fascinating exhibitions, is set in spectacular grounds, which include formal gardens and gentle woodland walks.

Lotherton Hall

Both St James’s Hospital (Jimmy’s) and the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) are very close to Residence 6 – please be aware that St James’s Hospital no longer operates an A&E (Accident and Emergency) facility for under 16’s. Nuffield Hospital is also just a short distance away as is The Spires private hospital.

Chemists

Boots is open until late most evenings for everything from a forgotten tooth brush to prescription collection. There is a big store in Trinity and a smaller store in the train station that is open until late.
