Leeds is the host city of one of the Victorian era’s most spectacular theatre and opera houses and extremely lucky that many celebrated shows and operas come to Leeds.  The theatre has a remarkable history, constructed in 1878 in the famed New Briggate area of the city, its design is a spectacular mix of European inspiration incorporating a number of styles including, Baronial, Gothic and Romanesque influences.
