The Iron Wagon Presents: Wagon Week

When it comes to checking out some of the biggest and best music festivals, Leeds Festival is a no-brainer. But Leeds is also known for its other more smaller, indie festivals where the venues are much smaller but the athmosphere much intimate. Wagon Week by The Iron Wagon is one such micro-fest, hosted in several venues around the city and features some of the best indie acts. Wagon Week is the brainchild of Ashley Kollakowski, who incidentally also owns/ manages Nation of Shopkeepers, a beautiful, quirky bar with a beer garden on the corner of Cookridge Street, opposite the Red Chilli chinese restaurant.
This year for Wagon Week, Leeds plays hosts to acts like Black Mountain, Felice Brothers and Serious Sam Barrett. Some of the venues that have been confirmed are the Leeds Irish Centre and TJs Woodhouse Club although we’d expect Nation of Shopkeepers to host a night as well.
Buy tickets from these record stores in Leeds: Jumbo Records (located in St John’s Centre) / Crash (on the bottom of the Headrow, towards Eastgate)
Or get them online at Seetickets.
