Leeds based designer label, Dom, Dick & Harry first caught my attention at a chance visit to Blue Rinse Vintage at the corner of the Corn Exchange in Leeds City centre. That store deserves its on dedicated blog post, but this one’s going to be solely about the ridiculously cool Dom, Dick & Harry t-shirts that they have stocked in Blue Rinse.
Further digging around the internet reveal that the label has been around for more than 4 years. Label boss Dominic Al-Samarraie’s idea of starting his own clothing label began since he attended the ever so hip Glasgow School of Art back in 2006.
Sex drugs and rock n roll is the label’s inspiration, with 1950s era sailor tattoo imagery of skulls, anchors, crossbows, bows, blood, love and death being the main design focus. The design ar ein monochrome, making them somewhat edgy and is quite apt considering every single piece is printed and made with love by themselves. Upon trying them on, the cotton feels softer than your regular Fruit of The Loom tees, sits well on your frame and has a slight elasticity for comfort.
